The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nat B. Henry can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

A humble and courageous man

Roger and I first met Nat and Becky at a Red Warrior Reunion in St. Louis, when the surviving POWs who were able to join us (Nat, Cordine MacMurray, and Richard Perricone) were the guests of honor for the banquet. We found ourselves in the company of three truly extraordinary men. I had always thought that my husband was the most patriotic man I had ever met, but these three soldiers personified patriotism. Nat and Becky became our good friends, and we spoke on the phone every month or so. Roger would always say to him, "Hey, Old Man!" as a greeting on the phone. A few years ago we were invited to their beautiful home nestled in the mountains (ask Becky about the sheet incident), and we will always treasure the memories of that trip. Nat had a courage unlike anything I have seen before or since, and Becky has the ferocity of a mama bear in a tiny body; she always took such good care of her soldier. We honor the memory of this American hero, Nathan Henry, and all of the unsung herores who served our country in Vietnam.
