The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nat B. Henry can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Paul E. Vinson

Nat was a very honorable man and soldier. although I only saw him on occasions while visiting my brother in Franklin. (Dennis) During one meeting, I ask Nat about Carroll Flora. Sfc. Flora was a SOG Recon man and was captured in 1968, in the Ashau Valley. Nat said they friends while being held in Hanoi. He said he had lost touch with Flora once back in country. There is a good photo of Nat and Flora together during the release ceremony in 1973, in John Plasters book "SOG, a Photo History of the Secret Wars". Both men standing at attention and flanked my NVA soldiers personify the courage and strong will of our American spirit. We all owe the POW's a debt of gratitude that we can never repay. Thank you Nat for enduring all the hardships of being a POW. To many of us Viet Nam veterans our lot was easy in comparison to what you had to cope with. We loved you as a brother in arms and respected your ability to survive all those hardships. Rest now Nat knowing the earthly struggles are over. Sincerely, Paul Vinson
