My friend

I knew Vera from high school. She was one person that I looked forward to seeing every day, she was always so cheerful. She was real, she was full of life, and she was full of love. I always knew when Vera was close because I could hear her yelling "hellllllooooo" from one end of the hall to the other. I remember one day in French class, we had a substitute teacher, and Vera wanted to pierce my ear. I was so scared but I trusted her. We went to the bathroom and she jabbed that earring through the top of my ear and I screamed so loud, I'm surprised we didn't get caught. Vera was so proud of me for doing it, I was proud of myself for letting her. Vera always had a smile on her face and a kind word to offer. I know she had a tough life, she was so strong and so determined. I have a sadness deep in my heart knowing that she was hurting. I'll always have a special place for her. Rest peacefully my sweet friend, watch over us and keep us safe. For old times sake: HEEELLLOOOO!!!
