Condolence: Terry, Trina & Jessica: I cannot even begin to imagine what you are feeling. I am not in Franklin, on Northside Drive with the rest of the neighbors who watched Josh grow up, but my heart is there with you. I have been thinking of you all non-stop since mom called me with this tragic news. I have been trying to decide which memory of Josh that I would share on this site. I have so many memories of Josh and Charlie growing up that it is a hard thing to decide. I'll just tell you what I have told the people around me over these past few days. I know that seeing little Josh at our front screen door was a daily thing and sometimes hourly for that matter. I remember that anytime Charlie got something new, he would immediately run down the street to show Josh. Josh did the same thing, whether it was a birthday or Christmas Day. When there was a knock at that front door, we didn't even have to look, we knew it was Josh. A year and a half ago, my husband, kids and I drove to Franklin after being slammed by a hurricane. Just hours after we arrived there was a knock at that same front door and I turned around and it was Josh. He was much bigger than I remembered, but with the same exact face. Somethings never change, no matter how old we get. I also remember how Josh conforted Charlie when our Dad passed away in 1992 and he probably didn't even realize that he was doing it. He came over to see him and he kept coming until Charlie finally went outside to play. They had their fights, even when they were very small boys, but they were friends. I am very sad for the loss of your son. Jessica, I won't even imagine what you are feeling, but I will pray for you. I wish that I could be there in person. My neighbors are mourning, my mother is mourning, my brothers are mourning and I am mourning, the loss of one of us kids, the neighborhood kids.
