Gerald “Jerry” Weedman, 68, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Those who knew Jerry will miss him very much. He would light up a room when he walked in. He liked to travel, golf and hunt. He never said “no” to anything that sounded like fun. He had the time of his life doing all this with his wife of 39 years, Muriel C. Weedman who survived him.
Jerry was a US Army veteran and served during Vietnam from 1961-1969. He was the owner of Jerry’s Carpet Service, a Coast to Coast and Good Sam Travel Clubs and was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church. He graduated from Southwestern Community College with two degrees in computer engineering and then worked at National Textiles in Mountain City as a computer technician. Born in Jefferson Co, KY, he was the son of the late Louis C. Weedman and Ruby Ester Brunson Weedman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son; a daughter; two brothers and two nephews.
