Mike Ledford, 47, of Franklin, passed away Monday, August 02, 2010.

Born in Macon Co. he was the son of Joyce Ramsey Ledford and the late Delano “Bud” Ledford. He worked as a mechanic for the NC DOT. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and loved deer hunting, fishing and sports. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist church and faithfully attended at Grace Baptist Church where he was the Jr. Boys Sunday School teacher.

In addition to his mother, Joyce, he is survived by a sister, Barbara Stiles and husband David of Franklin; three brothers, Larry Ledford, Ronnie Ledford and wife Brandy and Bobby Ledford and wife Christa all of Franklin; two nephews, Bradley Stiles and Gage Ledford; four nieces, Mallie Ledford, Sarah Ledford, Delaney Stiles and Anna Stiles and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Alton Dendy, Rev. Frank Rodriguez and Rev. Andy Cloer will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Stewart, Robbie Woods, Wayne Pruett, Mitchell Bowman, Jeff Pendergrass and Steve Mason.

Mike’s Jr. Sunday School class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
