Synix Eugene Sullivan, 94, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Born in Donaldsonville, GA, he was the son of the late William Garrett and Rillie Strickland Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Tindel Sullivan; his second wife, Grace Martin Sullivan; a son, Michael E. Sullivan; brother, Buster Sullivan and sister, Mary O’Connell. Synix was a retired CPO in US Navy, receiving several commendations and medals. He was a life member of the Fleet Reservation, serving 60 years and a member of the National Chief Petty Officer’s Association for 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, and reading.

He is survived by his son, Richard Sullivan and wife Betty of Franklin; two brothers, Earl and William Sullivan; two sisters, Faye McKinney and husband James and Anne Fain; one granddaughter, Judi Stevenson and husband Russell and great grandson, Tyler.

A gathering of friends will be held from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23rd at Macon Funeral Home with a memorial service following. Rev. Vic Greene will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Florida.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
