Obituary

Wilma Ruth Pinner Welch, 92, of Franklin, passed away and left to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 27, 2014.

Born in Missouri February 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lester Ward and Susie Joiner Pinner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Donald, Lester and Grady Pinner. Wilma retired from the City of Pontiac, Michigan. She was very active in her church and loved her family and friends deeply. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she enjoyed playing the piano, singing in her church choir, crocheting and needle point. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ray L. Welch; her son, James DuBoice Welch of Franklin; daughter, Fonda S. Strange and husband Gary of Tenn.; one grandson, Matthew Bradley and wife Kristen; three great grandchildren, Hailey, Layla and Peter; sisters, Mary Wilholt, Ellen Foore and Pat Parkin; brothers, Herb, Paul and Dick Pinner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Holland will officiate. Burial will be in the Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
