Wilma Renshaw Corbin, 91 of Franklin, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 14, 2026. She was born in St. Maries, Idaho, to the late Emera and Nyra Langbehm Renshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Grady Corbin Sr., her sister, Maxine Cochran, and her brother, Richard Renshaw.
Wilma was a long time member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where her faith and love for others were evident in all she did. For the last several years she hosted a weekly Bible study in her home for “her little ladies”, a time with friendships she deeply enjoyed.
She served her community faithfully as the secretary of Franklin High School for 25 years, where she touched the lives of countless students, staff and families. After retirement, her favorite pastime was sitting in her comfy recliner watching Perry Mason, Law and Order and NCIS as well as talking to and texting (with an exceedingly large number of emojis) all her loved ones.
Wilma is survived by her children: Grady Corbin Jr. (Myra), Ren Corbin (Jeana), and Mark Corbin (Wilma Diehl Corbin); her grandchildren; Shelley Corbin, Matthew Corbin, Tim Peden, Candace Stoeckley, Heather Newman, Morgan Biles, Adam Corbin, and Lindsay Brown; and her great-grandchildren; Breanna Peden, Ryleigh Dill, Colt Corbin, Kale Newman, Aiden Newman, Luke Biles, Anna Corbin, Chase Corbin, Katie Brown, Aaron Brown, and Caleb Brown.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 19th, at 11 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23rd, from 1-2:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Holly Springs Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 PM in the church sanctuary with Rev. Ben Heise and Rev. Brandon Breedlove officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Wilma will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering faith, and her love for others. Her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Macon Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, The Franklin House and Angel Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care of Wilma and the family during her stay at each of these facilities.
