Mr. William Harold McGaha of Franklin, NC born November 26th, 1947, passed away Thursday January 8th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Harold was the son of the late Felton and Ruth McGaha. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Posey and nephew Tony Posey.

Harold is survived by; son, William Todd McGaha with wife Pamela O. McGaha and daughter Jennifer McGaha Peele and fiancé Matthew Cooke. Granddaughters; Carissa McGaha with fiancé Jacob Young, Elizabeth Crowe with husband John “Ian” Crowe, Sailor Peele, Jenna Peele, Laurel Peele, grandson; Kolton Cooke. great grandsons; Silas Young and Callan Young. Also surviving sister; Bettey Breedlove, niece Sheila Posey and nephew Danny Breedlove and longtime companion Marcia Smothers.

Harold was a proud US Army Veteran who loved his country and the time he served as a combat engineer (1966-1969). Harold worked as an electrician by trade and enjoyed his time with his family. Harold will be missed by many and loved by all.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11am in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 am to 11am, one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home. Burial will be Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. Morris Tippett will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers are; Ian Crowe, Jacob Young, John McDowell, James Waldroup, Kolton Cooke, and Sailor Peele. Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Ramsey and Matt Cooke.
