Obituary
Willa Jean Ledford VanHook, 87,of Franklin, NC passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Lake Randolph and Ova Mae Hastings Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmom, Ruth Anderson Ledford; husband, William Carey VanHook; siblings, Ben Ledford, Linda Watson, Johnny Ledford, and David Ledford.
She is survived by her children, Billy VanHook, Jeana Hand (Jeff) of Roebuck, SC, James VanHook (Leslie), Janet Newsom (Preston) of Clarkesville, GA; siblings, Wayne Ledford, Sylvia "Tootsie" Spell, Liz Ledford, Jim Ledford, Bonnie Shirley, Debi Ledford, Joey Ledford; seven grandchildren, Cara McClure, Amelia Jones, Cory Dills, Anthony Capaforte, Candace Dills, Jared VanHook, Josh VanHook; ten great grandchildren, the oldest being Carson Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 24th at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at 10am. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate.
