Vivian Kirkland,87, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. Mrs. Kirkland was born in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 1938.

Vivian was a longtime member of Louisa Chapel Methodist Church. She worked alongside her husband as co-owners of Kirkland farms until she retired. She loved her family and was a wonderful cook. One of her favorite things to do was to visit her friends. She will be missed by all of those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Ted Kirkland. In addition, she is survived by two children, daughter, Kim Kirkland Jenkins (Bruce); son, Mitchell Kirkland (Patsy); and one granddaughter, Kayla Patterson (Hunter). She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 13th, at the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home at 2:00pm. Rev. Russell Stewart and Rev. Rella Reece will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Louisa Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
