Virginia B. Gamble went to join her husband of 68 years to be with the Lord on June 9, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Herbert and Jenny Bevis in Gainesville, Florida .

Ginger was beloved by many family and friends. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and beautiful woman with a generous spirit and a great sense of humor.

Ginger was a loyal member of Coweeta Baptist Church. In past years she served with her husband both in leadership roles at church and in multiple disaster relief efforts. She studied education at the University of Florida and served for many years in administration for the Alachua County School District.

In death she rejoins her husband Jack F. Gamble; parents and sibling Herbert Bevis. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Patricia Faircloth, her daughters Cindy and Natalie and son Jack. Grandchildren Dustin, Victoria and Tyler. Great grandchildren Brycen and Jace.

A dual celebration of life service for Ginger and Jack will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, 2:00 PM at Coweeta Baptist Church in Otto, N.C. A graveside service will be held at Forest Meadows Cemetery (Hillcrest), 3700 SE Hawthorne Rd, Gainesville, FL 32641, on Thursday, July 18th at 11am.
