Obituary

Thomas P. Kleeb passed away on April 7th at his mountain home in Otto, North Carolina, with his wife by his side following a three-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

He is survived by his loving Wife, Linda Geyer Kleeb, Sister, Mary Jo Eisenhower, Brothers Butch, David, and Michael Kleeb, and many nephews, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tom never met a stranger. His quick wit, friendly personality and caring nature endeared him to everyone he encountered. Tom was an old and gentle soul who lived a life full of compassion. He had a remarkable ability to find the good in everyone and never judged others. People took a piece of goodness away with them by knowing him.

Tom and his wife Linda lived their love story for the past 38 years. After becoming good friends in high school and then going their separate paths they magically reconnected in 1987 and married. They lived in many great places over the years - including the Florida Keys for 12 years. But in 2012 Tom chose the mountains of North Carolina as their forever home - a secluded cabin home that he transformed into his own treasured property.

Tom graduated from George Mason University with a major in business management. He was most proud of his contribution early in his career as Director of Purchasing for Loudon County. Later in life he entered the world of Hospitality where he became a legend with those he worked for and with – especially in "The Keys" where he was beloved.

Tom had a deep love for all animals. In retirement he had the opportunity to work with the local shelter and also over the past years "foster to adoption" a dozen dogs. Tom would be honored if you donated to your local shelter in his name.

A Celebration of Life will be held at his home in Otto, NC in early June and later in June for family & friends in the cities of McMurray, PA and Reston, VA.
