Tessie Hickman Walters, 88, of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Tessie was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Walters. She liked to watch gameshows, complete crossword puzzles, and reading the Bible. She had a pet cat “Ivan”,

She is survived by her children, Rick Harville, Dianne Carroll (Alan), Alan Harville (Robin); sister, Carolyn McCoy; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13th, from 11am-12pm at Macon Funeral Home. A service will follow at 12pm in the Chapel. Rella Reece will be officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
