Steven Joseph Windle, 69 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Steve will be missed by his family and his friends. He leaves behind a hole in our hearts, but we rejoice in the knowledge that he has returned home to be with his beloved Lord Jesus.
What is beauty? Steven would point you to nature. Nature reveals to us God's beauty, glory, power, wisdom, presence, creativity, and, most of all, His loving care. Steven enjoyed spending time in the beauty of God's nature by taking a walk on a beautiful day and taking pictures of flowers. In this, He connected with God's loving presence.
The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Psalm19:1 His favorite hymn was How Great Thou Art and his famous saying was "Well of Glory".
He was preceded in death by his father Victor Windle and brothers Vic Windle and Kevin Windle.
He is survived by his wife Danell Marie Windle; his children, Michelle, Justin, Benjamin (Mallika), and Luke (Kendra); grandchildren, Steven Andrew, Ashley, Jonathan, Noah, Logan, and Maylee; mother, Barbara, and brother Gary (Debra).
A Celebration of Life service honoring the life of Steve will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2pm at Discover Church, 47 Macon Center Dr, Franklin, NC 28734. All are welcome to join as family and friends to celebrate the life of Steve.
