Our beloved Brother, Steven Blake Greaner passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the age of 67 following recent illnesses. Steve was born in Portsmouth/Norfolk, Virginia, traveled the US with his family while his dad was in the Navy then settled in Miami, Florida when his dad retired. Steve grew up and worked in South Florida until his retirement, moving to Franklin, North Carolina approximately five years ago.

Steve was an animal lover, loved the outdoors and riding his quad with friends through the woods. He was an avid sports fan and on game days we would find him cheering on his beloved University of Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins and Florida Panthers. Steve was also great with his hands and could build, work on and fix most anything.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Stuart and Mary Greaner, his Step-Mom, Edith Greaner, his sister Becky Greaner-Valentin, his niece, Danielle Valentin Brown plus other family members.

Steve is survived by his brother Mike Greaner, his sisters April Greaner-Barfus (Bill), Ivy Greaner, Linda Thomas, Nancy Poythress and Marianne McGhee; his nephews Tom Bickham (Maysel), Alex Greaner and Christopher Thomas (Leslie); his nieces Sheri Bull (Alex), Hallie Greaner and Kathryn McGhee; plus grand nephews, grand nieces and cousins. Last but certainly not least, Steve is survived by his trusty sidekick, Roscoe and will be greatly missed, along with Mike's dog Casper, and April and Bill's dogs, Ella Bella and Molly.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced and held at a later date.

Steve was loved by all who knew him and will be missed more than words can express. We will carry his memory with us until we meet again.
