Obituary
Stella Mae Cunningham Jenkins, 93, of Otto, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Felix Floyd and Leona Beasley Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Cunningham; two sisters, Ann Lamb, and Fannie Nichols; and three brothers, Bobby Nichols, Hoyt Nichols, and Floyd Nichols. Stella loved working in her yard and home and being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Gladys Burnette of Scaly Mountain; four sisters, Margie Blaine of Franklin, Betty Carpenter of Easley, SC, Faye Shirley of Otto, NC, and Goldie Richardson of Liberty, SC; two grandsons, Greg Talley, and Shane Talley; four great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2pm on Sunday, March 10 at Newmans Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Otto, NC. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Newmans Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
