Sidney Broadbent, 81, of Otto, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013.

Born in Lackawanna Co, PA, he was the son of the late Sidney Broadbent and Beatrice Bevan Broadbent. Sidney was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He worked as stage manager for Paul Harvey; loved his horses and was a former member of the Macon Horse Association and enjoyed woodworking. Sidney was a member of Coweeta Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marilyn McRoberts Broadbent; five daughters, Lynne Denouden of Holland, Lori Broadbent of Chicago, IL, Beth Broadbent of Ft. Myers, FL, Kari Hebrank of Tallahassee, FL and Kelly Spiro of Science Hills, KY; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20th at Coweeta Baptist Church. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.
