Dorothy Sandra Kinsland Johnson, 71, passed away on the 25th of July 2023, at her home in Franklin, NC.

Sandra was born on Feb. 29, 1952, to the late Harry and Dorothy Kinsland. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Mars Hill College. Sandra retired from the Gwinnett County School System in Lawrenceville, GA. She loved working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She definitely had a "green thumb."

Sandra is survived by daughters, Michelle Johnson and April Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Carolyn Shook (Jim); foster sister, Lois Mabe (Ray); foster brother, Jerry Walkingstick; aunt, Betty Kinsland; nieces, Teresa Wilson (Kelly), Alicia Zimmerman; nephews, Jeff Shook, John Shook (Sonya); cousins, Jean Sprinkle (Johnny), Linda Moore, Patsy Midyette (Bobby); and great nieces, Reagan and Mallory Wilson.

A special thanks to Rose Mashburn for helping with Sandra's care. Also, thanks to special friends Dawson, Naaman, and Dayton.

A graveside service will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, at 11a.m. on Friday July 28,2023. Rev. Brandon Breedlove will officiate.
