Obituary

Mr. Ronald Ellsworth Reeme, born January 2, 1929, in Lestock, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, at Grandview Manor after a long struggle with dementia. He was the son of the late Russell and Helen Ketcho Reeme.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife, Dorothy Hamilton Reeme, who passed in 2021; and one son, Christopher Reeme.

He is survived by his children Mary Mulcahy (Howard), Michael Reeme (Cynthia), Kelly Reeme, Mary Seppelt (Chuck), Timothy Reeme, and David Reeme; along with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ronald moved to the Macon County area in 1999, where he became an active and cherished member of the community. He volunteered for Friends of the Library for several years and was known as a dedicated master gardener. He had a gentle spirit, a deep love for children and dogs, and a gift for making those around him feel welcome.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the local animal rescue organization of your choice, in honor of Ronald’s lifelong affection for animals.

At this time there is no formal service for Mr. Reeme.
