Ronnie Owens passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.

Born in Macon County to the late Euell Cordell and Blanche McCoy Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Sandy Owens Tippett, Patricia “Tootsie” Akin, and Beverly Owens.

Surviving Mr. Owens are his wife Kathy Angel Owens; son Joshua Owens, both of Franklin; sister, Elaine Enloe, also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16 at 2 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 2pm on Friday, January 16 at Macon Funeral Home before the service. Revs. Jason Smith and Davis Hooper will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Enloe, Jeff Enloe, Tim Houston, Zeb Enloe, Vince Boyce, Treyton Jones, and Tucker Enloe.

The family would like to thank Dr. Burrell and staff as well as Joey Gibson and Macon County EMS. The family would also like to thank Savannah Gass and the staff at Four Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care for Ronnie during his illness.
