Ronald Leland Jackson of Winter Park, Florida and more recently Franklin, NC died on January 30, 2025 at the age of 71. Born September 6, 1953 in Winter Park he was the son of Francis Jackson and Betty Ward Jackson. He graduated from Winter Park High School and the University of Central Florida. Ron helped run his father's State Farm Insurance Agency in Winter Park from a young age until his father's retirement in 2008. He then worked for several other State Farm agencies until he retired several years ago.

Ron was very active in the community serving on the Winter Park Library Board from 2002 until 2007. He was a patron of the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival and their group won multiple awards for most creative table at the annual Winter Park Dinner on the Avenue.

Ron had wonderful artistic tastes. He collected unique works of art and also enjoyed creating beautiful landscapes as he loved gardening. Ron was kind, gentle, generous, tenderhearted, affable, humorous and hospitable. He loved entertaining guests and would cook elegant memorable meals for friends and family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ron is survived by his brother, Rick Jackson (Jill), Oakwood, GA, sisters Nicki D'Amato, Casselberry, Daryl Oberg (John), Grand Marais, MN, and Wendy Dalton (Terry), Franklin, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
