Obituary
Robert Woodrow Young, 84, of Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Robert was born in Macon County to the late Hunter and Lucille Shook Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Gary and Bruce Young. He was a member of the Masons and the American Legion. He liked to ride motorcycles and work in the yard. He loved to spend time at Ms. Newby's in Panama City, FL. He served our country in the US AirForce. He worked as a law enforcement officer for Dekalb County, GA for 20 plus years and for the UN International Police Observer.
He is survived by his son, Robert Young (Sheryl) of Franklin; daughter, Misty Roscoe of South Carolina; siblings, Betty Ann Young, Charles "Chuck" Young, Gene Young (Sheila), all of Franklin; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 28th at 1pm at the American Legion in Franklin.
