Robert Wooten, 85, of Franklin, NC, passed away on January 9, 2025, surrounded by his three daughters.
Robert was born in Miami, Florida to the late Marvin and Dorothy Wooten on December 1, 1939. Mr. Wooten served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958-1966 as crew chief on a C-124. He moved to Franklin from Longwood, FL, twenty-three years ago. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Franklin and was very involved in the church. Robert loved to fish and spend time outside mowing his property. He had a real passion for building muzzle loaders, as well.
He is survived by daughters, Jeannine Douce, Robin Kelley (Greg), Vicki Wooten; grandchildren, Jessica Cauley (Trey), Matthew Douce (Angela); great grandchildren, Jadan Perkins, Lilly Paige Douce, Nolan Cason Douce; and brother Ronnie Wooten.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Gail Wooten, of sixty-five years. He was also preceded by one brother, William Wooten.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
