Robert Floyd Clark, Sr., 71, of Franklin, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Clark and Launa Bradley Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Clark. Robert retired from Mohawk Industries in Chatsworth, GA and was the former owner and operator of East Franklin Barber Shop. He was a past Lodge Master of Eton, Georgia Masonic Lodge and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Robert was also an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family.
He is survived by four children, Laura Wood and husband Darrell of Franklin, Robert Clark, Jr. and wife Laura Wiggins Clark of Franklin, Matthew Clark of Lawrenceville, GA and Jacob Clark and wife Sarah of San Antonio, TX; sister, Sally Seay of Franklin; grandchildren, Lyndie Cowan, Jacob Clark, Jr. and Evelyn Clark and lifelong friends, Landy Pendergrass and Terry Queen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Landy Pendergrass, Ed Downs, Robert Shepherd, Bill Stanfield, Walt Tant, Jim Brown and Joe Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
