Obituary
Robert "Bob" William Ruble, 85, of Franklin, NC, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Bob was born in Chicago, IL, to the late William and Charlotte Kroll Ruble. Before his retirement, he owned and operated WayWest Heating & Cooling. He lived briefly in Florida when he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. Then moved to his mountain home in Franklin NC in 2004, where he was a member of the Fly Club of Franklin and contributed to the creation of the Greenway. He enjoyed collecting stamps, bowling, playing cards, and most of all sharing his knowledge of carpentry and creativity with his daughters. He remained an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.
He is survived by his partner, Brenda Jacobs; daughters, Cheryl Holewinski of Racine, WI, Christine Fischer (James) of Lindstrom, MN; six grandchildren, CJ, Braden, Ben, Sam, Claire, Taite; sister, Rita; brother, Ray (Kay); and five nieces and nephews.
