It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that the family announces the untimely passing of Robert (Bob) Longworth. He passed away on May 11, 2026, at home in Otto, NC. He was born on April 21, 1940, in Tampa, FL

Mr. Longworth was a longtime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, a member of the Jackson Rangers Camp 1917 and a past President of the Heritage Mountain Property Owners Association.

Mr. Longworth attended the University of Florida and proudly served in the U.S. Army. After serving our country, Mr. Longworth joined the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local 123 in Tampa and finished his career as a Sergeant in the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Judi Longworth and son Keith Longworth. Bob leaves behind to honor his memory his children; Holly Sliz (Rich) of Hudson, FL, Kevin Longworth (Jessica) of Bradenton, FL, Hilary Helmer (Paul) of Otto, NC, and Kristi Longworth Ballew (Alan) of Franklin, NC, grandchildren Bryce Sliz (Samantha) of Parkland, FL, Savannah Helmer Peterson (Kyle) of Asheville, NC, Tristan Longworth (Taylor) of Franklin, NC, and Lauryn Longworth Stanley (Noah) of Franklin, NC, great grandsons Theo Sliz and Jasper Sliz of Parkland, FL.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
