Robert Thomas "Bob" Casey of Otto, NC, at the age of 88, passed away on September 2, 2025. Bob was a devoted and loving husband to Joyce Long Casey for 64 remarkable years until her passing in 2019. He was also a dedicated father to both Robert Thomas Casey, Jr., and Cheryl (Casey) Wray.

Bob's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. He built a stellar career in the insurance industry and retired as an executive from American Heritage in Jacksonville, Florida.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Bob had a passion for golf and cherished his time attending the Masters with his close friends and family. His love for sports was also reflected in his unwavering support for the South Carolina Gamecocks, where he attended college, and in loyally following Ga Tech and the University of TN, his children's alma maters. The Atlanta Braves also held a special place in both Joyce and Bob's hearts and they enjoyed following the Braves.

Bob is survived by Robert and Mary Leigh Casey, Cheryl and Steve Wray, eight grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Joyce Long Casey, his mother, Vera Casey, his father, Eugene Casey, and his younger brother Ronald Casey.

A graveside service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on September 5, 2025, at 10 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC. We invite all who knew and loved Bob to join us in paying our final respects and sharing cherished memories.
