Ricky Judson Gregory, 51, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014.
Born in Fredericksburg, VA he was the son of the late Nolan and Dorothy Morgan Gregory. Ricky retired from Haywood County EMS where he worked as a Paramedic; he was a dedicated member of the Cowee Volunteer Fire Department; lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir; member of the Junaluskee Masonic Lodge No. 145; member of the Gideons International and was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Kirkland Gregory; three children, Heather Gregory, Daniel Gregory and Jeremy Gregory all of Franklin; brother, Rev. Randy Gregory; sister, Donna Seibert and husband Stacy Dills; one granddaughter, Tiana Gregory; several nieces and nephews and adopted parents, John and Betty Allen.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 10, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Potts, Rev. Ron Owensby, Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. Carson Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Members of the Cowee Volunteer Fire Department will conduct graveside honors.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 9, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Zimmerman, Mark Zimmerman, Eric Young, Gary Kirkland, Brandon Kirkland and Jonathan Taylor. Members of the Cowee Volunteer Fire Department will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
