Richard James Ward, 76, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Henry Ward and Catherine Moore Ward. Richard was an electrician and he attended Franklin Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Delma Martin Ward; daughter, Dina Roberts of South Gate, MI; three sons, Richard Ward II of Lincoln Park, MI and Michael Ward of River Rouge, MI and Justin Guy and wife Rosanne of Atlanta, GA; two step daughters, Diana Tackett of Loxley, AL and Teresa Boane of Franklin; three step sons, Harold Workman and Terry Workman both of Charlottesville, VA and Mark Workman of Jacksonville, FL; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Thurman Jenkins will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
