Richard Angel, 77, of Asheville, NC, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024, in Sylva, NC.

He was born on July 6, 1946, in Asheville, NC to the late Charles and Tilda Angel. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Angel; daughter, Suzanne Angel; siblings, Dallas, Mary Lee, Floyd, Robert, Ruby, Loretta, Arthur, Francis, and James. Richard was a loving and gracious husband, father, and grandfather. He was an inspiration to all who knew him, always willing to help others in need and pay forward good deeds.

Richard is survived by his son, David Angel, and his grandchildren, Hunter Angel, Brianna McCorkle, Logan Angel, Kendall Angel, and Alyssa Russel.

A memorial service will be held at Macon Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14th, at 2:30 pm. The family will receive friends from 2-2:30pm, thirty minutes prior to the service.

Richard Angel will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
