George Randall "Randy" Berry, age 61, of Macon County, passed away on November 22, 2025. He was born on October 6, 1964, in Macon County, the son of George Andrew "Andy" Berry and Joyce Elders Berry.
Randy was larger than life. He was the kind of person who lit up every room. He never met a stranger, loved everyone he crossed paths with, and had a gift for making people feel welcomed and seen. He was the life of the party, known for his quick wit and big personality. Randy was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.
Randy was also a true visionary in the world of real estate. He had a remarkable gift for seeing potential where others did not, knowing what would work, where it would thrive, and how to bring it to life. Over the years, he developed numerous residential subdivisions and built countless homes, leaving a lasting mark on the community he loved. His mind was exceptional; he could read, absorb, and understand information with rare depth and clarity. His intelligence, intuition, and foresight set him apart.
Above all, Randy loved deeply. He poured himself into the people around him, made everyone laugh, and showed up for others in ways that spoke to the size of his heart.
He is survived by his parents; three sons, Logan (Olivia), Landon, and Ashton (Olivia); one brother, Mark (Stephanie); two nieces, Abrianna (Tristan) and Chesnie; and one great nephew, Coburn.
