Peter Edwin Privette, 72, of Homosassa, Florida, went peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Pete was born on July 15, 1953, in Ansbach, Germany. He was the loyal son of Doris Haynsworth and the late Ed Privette. He graduated from Mannheim American High School in Germany and received a Paramedic degree from Southwestern Community College in Sylva, North Carolina in 2010. He was a United States Air Force veteran and worked a career in the cable, internet, and telecommunications industry. He was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, and grandpa. His passions were fishing, golf, helping his family, and spending time with his son and grandson.
Pete is preceded in death by the love of his life, Jane Caroline Privette. They were married on September 1, 1979, in St. Petersburg, Florida and spent 29 beautiful years together.
In addition to his mother, Pete is survived by his son, Nicholas Privette (and wife Kristina) of Stafford, VA; grandson, Samuel Privette; two sisters, Rita Allen and Debbie Meehan of Homosassa, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, located at 4890 South Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, FL 34446. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2:00 pm, officiated by Dr. Kevin Humphrey. After services, a Celebration of Life Gathering will follow from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Flowers can be sent to this location.
Another visitation will take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Macon Funeral Home, located at 261 Iolta St, Franklin, NC 28734. A committal service with Military Honors will follow at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery, Old Murphy Rd, Franklin, NC 28734, officiated by Pastor Joseph McGaha.
