Paul Carter Cwik, 75, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Born in Chicago, IL, Paul was the son of the late Chester and Jule Talaska Cwik. He built a long and respected career as a computer design specialist with Kraft Foods, where his curiosity, precision, and creativity shaped much of his professional life.
Paul was a man of many passions. He had a deep love for photography and a natural eye for capturing the world’s quiet beauty. He found joy in traveling by RV and exploring 42 states in America. London, Italy, Greece, Austria, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, and Germany held special places in his heart. Wherever he went, he carried a sense of wonder—and always a camera.
He attended Holly Springs Baptist Church and a talented carpenter who could turn raw materials into something meaningful. Paul was also a proud Florida State University alumnus and an enthusiastic college football fan, cheering on the Noles with unwavering loyalty.
Above all, Paul loved his family. He cherished his dog, Amber, and held a deep affection for his brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Cwik.
Paul is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Babbitt Cwik; his stepchildren, Adam Miller and Rachel Martinez; his siblings, Char Earl (John), John Cwik (Patricia), and Tom Cwik (Denise); and six grandchildren who brought him great joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21st at the Cwik home from 4–6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22nd at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 2 p.m., with Pastor Ben Heise officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Paul’s life was rich with curiosity, craftsmanship, faith, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
