Patsy "Pat" Margine Shepherd, 77, of Franklin, NC, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Pat was born in Macon County to the late J.C. and Myrtle Holden Shepherd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Foshee and Ralph Lee Shepherd and the best friend she ever had, Bob Barrow.

She lived in Atlanta most of her life but moved back to Franklin around 20 years ago. She worked for Sears for 33 years and Walmart for around 12 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church but attended Lawrenceville Church of God. She was a devout Christian, baptized at Lawrenceville Church of God. She was a great cook, making the best apple butter; and loved to travel. She was a very loving, giving person, and always helped others. She showed her love for her family and will be missed by all that knew her. Her favorite phrase was "I love you more".

She is survived by her siblings, James Shepherd, Lonnie (Becky) Shepherd, Marvin (Mary Ann) Shepherd, all of Franklin, Vaughn Shepherd of Sylva, NC, Betty Joe Robinson of Milton, FL, Shirley Emmons of Milton, FL, Lois Sims of Smithfield, NC; niece, Hannah Shepherd; great niece, Bekah Shepherd; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 6th from 5-7 pm at Macon Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 7th at 2pm at Liberty Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves and Fr. Constantine "Millard" Shepherd will officiate. Burial will follow at Shepherd Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Marvin Shepherd, Mitchell Owenby, Sandy Shepherd, Tim Chavis, Jonathan James Shepherd, and Pedro Hernandez. Honorary pallbearer is Marty Foshee.
