Obituary
Patricia "Pat" Browning, 54, of Franklin, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
She was born in Macon County, as an identical twin on January 21, 1960. She is the daughter of Gene and Ada Henry Pickens. Pat enjoyed a wonderful career as a nurse in several fields. Her love for people led her to work and volunteer for groups such as hospice. Her hobbies included flying airplanes, hiking, waterfalls, traveling, family and most definitely football.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Tommy Browning of 35 years and were childhood sweethearts; two children, daughter, Erica Browning and son, Robert Browning, all of Franklin, NC; sister, twin and best friend Terry Pickens of Greenville, SC and brother, Jimmy Pickens of Hendersonville, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be planned at a later date to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, Pat's true love and dedication was for hospice. Donations can be made to Hospice House Foundation of WNC, Inc. PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
