Nancy Faye McGaha Johnson,75, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Angel Medical Center in Franklin, NC.

Nancy Faye was born April 7, 1949, in Macon County, to the late Boyd and JoAnn Shepard McGaha and has made Franklin her home. She was a loving mother and homemaker, who was blessed by many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tava Johnson; her eldest grandson, Nathan Johnson; and siblings, Tava McGaha Fouts, Captain Harold Furman McGaha, Gene McGaha, Carl McGaha, Thelma "Dot" McGaha Jackson, and Christine McGaha Blanton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son William "Bill" Johnson of Georgia; siblings, Joe Lyle McGaha (Debie) of Rutherfordton, NC and Rev. John McGaha (Lois) of Liberty SC; grandchildren, Chastity Thomas Guffey, (Sasha) and D.J. Thomas, along with multiple great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Macon Funeral Home Wednesday, December 4th from 1-1:30pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 pm in the Chapel. Rev. John McGaha will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery of RiverView Methodist Church.
