Monty Claire Andrews, 88, of Franklin passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

Born in Kankakee, IL he was the son of the late Clarence Andrews and Cora Butler Andrews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Bohn; and brother, Jack Andrews. Monty served in the US Navy during the Korean War and later worked for Lockheed Martin at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He was a member of Friends of the Library and Franklin Men's Golf League. He loved making knives and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Phillips Andrews; children, Terry Walker (Bruce) of Wimauma, FL, Paula Gilardi (Barry) of Alarka, NC, and Michael Andrews (Becky) of Morristown, TN; three grandchildren, Stacey, Jessica, and Joshua; two great grandchildren, Andrew and Benji.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 pm, Friday, August 23 at Macon Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
