Millie Welborn Raby, 91, of Franklin passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014.

Born in Rabun County, GA, she was the daughter of the late John D. Welborn and Dona King Welborn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lyle Raby who died in 1993; sisters, Mae Kilby, Margie Coleman and Maude Mize and brothers, J.D. Welborn, Edley Welborn and Dock Welborn. Millie worked at the Wayah Ranger District Office, Canteen of Dixie Vending Company, The Macon County Register of Deeds, Belden and Bank of Clayton. She was an active member of Cowee Baptist Church where she was a choir member and children's choir leader. Millie was a very special person who touched many lives; she will be missed by all.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Lou Bennett and husband David of Franklin; two grandchildren, Charles Bennett of Del Rio, TX and Patrick Bennett and wife Stephani of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law, Katherine Welborn and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28th at Cowee Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Shepherd Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, June 27th at Macon Funeral Home.
