Mildred "Millie" Hipps Holder, 99, of Franklin went to heaven to be with Jesus for eternity on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. "Praise the Lord."

She was born In Knoxville, TN, to the late Charles and Ethel Trotter Hipps. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Quintin S. Holder Sr. Mildred and Quintin moved to Franklin permanently in 1981 from Miami, FL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklin and member of the Naomi Sunday School class.

Mildred was a past Matron for Chapter 43 of the Eastern Star. Millie and Quintin were both very active in the Junaluskee Masonic Lodge, Nequassa Eastern Star, and the Oasis Shriners in Franklin.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bodden of Franklin, NC; son, Q. Stephen Holder Jr of Miami, FL; grandson, M. Scott Matthews of Tyler, TX; and two great grandchildren, Brittany, and Devin; and two great great grandchildren.

Millie will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Quintin Stephen Holder, Sr. in the Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler, NC. There will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Junaluskee Masonic Lodge, Nequassa Eastern Star, or the Oasis Shriners in Franklin, NC.
