Allen Michael Houston, 81, of Highlands, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Michael was a Macon County native and was the son of the late William and Lelia Bolick Houston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, William Earl Houston, Trina Lynn Houston and siblings, Lorena Phillips, Geneve Speed, and Frank Houston. He was a builder by trait and was known throughout the county. He was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katrinka "Kay"; son, Daniel Houston (Robbin); daughters, Teresa Creighton (Jack), Rita Staffelbach (Bob); thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 12th from 6-8pm at Macon Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 13th at 11am at Buck Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Jamie Passmore and Rev. Michael McConnell will officiate. Burial will be in the Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
