Michael "Mike" D. Welch, 73, of Sylva NC, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024.
Mike was born to the late Dover and Dorothy Evans Welch. He loved woodworking, music, fishing, camping and family.
He is survived by his children; Mike Welch (Tammy) of Franklin, Julie Welch of Sylva, Scott Welch of Asheville, Leah Welch of Sylva, Austin Welch of South Carolina; brothers, Perry Welch of Franklin, Jeff Welch of Franklin, Richard Welch of Costa Rica; cousin, Daisy Ehlers; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and seventeen nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18th at Macon Funeral Home from 6-8pm. No service is planned at this time.
