Obituary
Michael "Box "Barry Tallent, 66, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Carlton "Jack" and Annie Maude Burnette Tallent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Tallent and Randy Logan Tallent. Mike loved planting a garden and going fishing.
He is survived by a sister, Clydia Huscusson of Franklin, NC; two stepsons, Mark Dillon and Sean Dillon of Asheville, NC; nephews, Allen Dean Huscusson, and Steven David Huscusson; niece, Lena Kay Raby; and great nephew, Michael James Taylor.
A celebration of life will be Sunday, September 10, at 2pm in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Stephanie Thompson will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Care Net, 130 Bidwell Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
