Obituary
Michael Eugene Cheek, 69, of Franklin, NC, passed away April 24, 2023, at his residence.
Michael was born to the late Eugene Gene Ray and Doris Ann Sorrells Cheek on December 23, 1953, in Macon County. He lived in Franklin all his life and was a carpenter by trade. He loved to cook, listen to classic rock, and loved to play the drums. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness South Congregation.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jessica Stillwell Cheek. Michael is survived by his sister, Cathy Holland of Gastonia; two nephews, Justin Poindexter (Theresa), Derek Lehnert (Cheri); one niece, Krysten Gwinn (Jay); two great nephews; one great niece; and numerous cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 27, at 2pm in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev John P Jones will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Jehovah's Witness South Congregation.
