Mary Dawn Giles (née Galloway), 61, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 29, 2026, in Franklin, North Carolina.

Mary was born on June 11, 1965, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, to Mary Ilene Williams (McGinty) and Hoke Galloway.

Mary’s greatest calling and deepest joy was her family. She loved her children with all her heart, and being Nana was one of the greatest joys of her life. Anyone who knew Mary—or even glanced through her Facebook photos—could see where her heart was. Her grandchildren filled her life with purpose and pride, and she cherished every milestone, every memory, and every moment she was blessed to share with them.

Mary was blessed by the love and support of those who faithfully stood beside her throughout her life. She was deeply grateful for her stepmother, who helped raise her and loved her as her own. She was also lovingly cared for by her mother-in-law, whose constant support, countless rides, and unwavering kindness were a true blessing to Mary and to her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ilene Williams (McGinty) and Hoke Galloway.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Giles; her children, Brittainy McCane and husband Stewart of Billings, Montana, Stephanie Barnett and husband Jeb of Cumming, Georgia, and Paul “Andrew” Moore and wife Allainah of Stockbridge, Georgia; her beloved grandchildren, Aspen, Grier, London, and Ryan, who were the light of her life; her siblings, Patrick Galloway, Marlena Loudin, and Keith Galloway; several cherished nieces; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Though our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in the promise of Christ and rejoice in knowing that Mary has been made whole in His presence. Her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the lives of those she loved so deeply.
