Mark Allen Wheeler,70, of Franklin passed away on October 10th, 2023.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, He was the son of the late John Edward Wheeler and Evelyn Celeste Brocco Wheeler. He moved to Franklin in 2009 from Brandon, Florida. He was employed at Macon Citizens Habilities as a direct support professional and was a member of Franklin Covenant Church. He had a great deal of passion for the outdoors, he loved hunting and fishing and to many was known as the "fish whisperer". In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Jack Wheeler.

Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife of 44 years Nancy Porter Wheeler of Franklin, NC; seven children, Eron Lindsey (Kristine) of Kennesaw, Ga, Eric Lindsey (Leryda) of Peacham, VT, Amy Williams (John) of Canton, GA, Brooke Reale (Rob) of Franklin, NC, Zach Wheeler of Omaha, NE, Micheal Wheeler of Franklin, NC, and Rose Mary Wheeler of Franklin, NC; brother, Scott Wheeler of Franklin, NC; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Saturday, October 28th, at Franklin Covenant Church. Rev. Bob Crawford will officiate.
