Michala Cheyenne Taylor, 26, of Franklin, NC, left us far too soon on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Born in Macon County, she was the beloved daughter of Michael James Taylor and Crystal Dawn Bates. Michala was known for her kind heart, helpful spirit, and beautiful smile that could brighten any room. She touched the lives of many through her caring nature and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, Crystal Bates, she is survived her brothers, Tyler Deats and Zachery Deats; her grandmother, Phyllis Bates; her father, Michael James Taylor (Lynn); her aunts, Misty Isreal and Chelsie Taylor; and her uncle, Willie “Chubby” Watts. She also leaves behind numerous cousins and many friends who will cherish her memory.

Michala was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Joann Maney, Jimmy Taylor, and Willie Bates.

Though her time on earth was brief, Michala's love, laughter, and gentle spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and strength to family and friends for years to come.

A graveside service will be held, Thursday, October 15th, at 1pm, at the Full Gospel Prayer House Cemetery on Newman Rd, Franklin, NC.
