Lorena Dalton Shuler, 92, of Franklin, NC passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Macon County to the late Pratt and Zella Hurst Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Shuler; son, Douglas Keith Shuler; brothers, Harold Dalton, Kenneth Dalton, and Walter Dalton; and sister, Nancy Louise Ledford. She was a member of Sugarfork Baptist Church. She loved her flowers, gardening, reading, and enjoying walks on the greenway.

She is survived by her children, Janet Bradley (Donald) of Madison, GA, Yvonne Barnwell of Hendersonville, NC, Sandy Guinn of SC, Susan Shuler of Franklin; grandchildren, Chad Shuler, Derik Shuler, Dalton Shuler, Heather Jackson, Hannah Bradley, Tiffany Barnwell, Brittany Barnwell, Shuler Guinn, Lera Guinn, and Courtney Shuler, who was her grandmother's faithful caregiver; eleven great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 7th at 3pm at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Gene Hawkins and Rev. Charles Stevens will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
