Thomas Lloyd McCall, 92, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025. A kind, loving father, grandfather and friend.
Lloyd was born to the late James Charlie and Effie Ellen McCall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudette McCall; other family members, Jessie Mae Browning, Estelle Jenkins, Viola Jenkins, Arthur McCall, Leroy McCall, Leonna Ray, Charlotte McCall, Clyde McCall, Amy McCall, and Grace McCall.
He was a master of carpentry, building many houses in Highlands, as well as a heavy equipment operator building many roads in Tennessee and North Carolina. He was also a caretaker for a large estate in Highlands and a trustee for Mt. Moriah Cemetery for many years. He took pride in everything he did. He was an avid fox and rabbit hunter. His family was his pride and joy, and he loved them deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved people and enjoyed visiting with everyone.
He is survived by his son, Randall McCall (Pat); grandson, Ethan McCall; granddaughter, Erin McCall; siblings, Mary Owens, Martha Crescenzi, Frances Zachary; brother-in-law, Larry Raby; sisters-in-laws, Sissy McMahan, and Barbara McCall. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Moriah Cemetery Fund, 27 Pine Cone Dr, Franklin, NC 28734.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 5th from 10-11am at Macon Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will be gathering at Lloyd's home if anyone wishes to visit.
